The project’s inauguration took place at Queens College, Yaba, coinciding with the International Day of the Girl Child and focusing on the importance of ethical examination practises and the value of exam integrity.
The event, which marked the debut edition of “Empower Her,” was designed to be a celebration of young girls and a platform for fostering mentorship opportunities. Its goal is to inspire and equip the girl child with essential life skills, knowledge, and motivation needed to excel in various aspects of life, including healthcare and leadership. Its debut reached out to over 200 students across both junior and senior secondary school levels at Queens College, Yaba.
During the event, a raffle draw session added an element of excitement, with one lucky student winning a brand-new Exam Padi tablet. Additionally, Carol Banks engaged with the students in a book signing session, generously gifting 25 students with her book, “Ethical Leadership.” The book imparts transformative leadership knowledge and skills to the next generation of leaders.
